Sauer Planner

Sauer Planner is a personal planning app built for one person: Catherine Sauer, a high school English teacher in Texas. It keeps her lesson planning, school responsibilities, and everyday life in one place. It is not a public service, and nobody else can sign up.

What it does

  • Plans lessons, units, and the school week.
  • Tracks to-dos and events across work, family, home, and personal life on one Life page.
  • Shows a short summary of the day in a home screen widget on her own phone.
  • Keeps her Life events in step with her own Google Calendar, both ways, if she chooses to connect it.

How it uses Google Calendar

When the owner connects her Google account, Sauer Planner reads and updates events on her own primary Google Calendar so that events she adds in either place show up in both. It does not touch any other calendars, contacts, email, or files. She can disconnect at any time from inside the app or from her Google account settings.

Who can use it

Only the owner signs in, and every page that holds information requires two-step verification. The one other public page is a Meet Mrs. Sauer page where families can send her a message. See the privacy policy for exactly what data is stored and how it is protected.
