Mrs. Sauer

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Sauer Planner (sauerplanner.com) is a private planning app used by its owner, Catherine Sauer. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to remove it. If anything here is unclear, email mrscatsauer@gmail.com.

What the app stores

  • The owner's sign-in email address, used only to sign in.
  • Planning notes, tasks, and events the owner types into the app.
  • Messages families send through the contact form on the public Meet Mrs. Sauer page (their name, email, student's name, and message). These are emailed to the owner through the Resend email service so she can reply, and are not used for anything else.
  • If Google Calendar is connected: the owner's Google email address, a Google access token that lets the app sync, and copies of the events on her primary Google Calendar (title, date, time, location, and description).

Google user data

When the owner connects Google Calendar, Sauer Planner asks Google for permission to view and edit events on her calendars. It uses that permission only to:

  • Show her Google Calendar events on her Life page and her phone widget.
  • Copy events she creates, edits, or removes in the app to her Google Calendar, and the other way around.

Google user data is never:

  • sold, rented, or shared with anyone;
  • used for advertising;
  • used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
  • read by any person other than the owner, except where needed for security or to follow the law.

Sauer Planner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where it's kept and how it's protected

Data is stored in a private Supabase database. Every table is locked so that only the signed-in owner can read or change her own records, and signing in requires two-step verification. Connections to the app and to Google are encrypted (HTTPS). The phone widget uses a long, secret, revocable link and only receives the owner's own to-do and event summary.

Keeping and removing data

  • Disconnecting Google Calendar inside the app deletes the stored Google access token and tells Google to revoke it right away. Syncing stops immediately.
  • Access can also be removed at any time from the Google Account page, under Security, Third-party apps and services.
  • To have all stored data deleted, including copied calendar events, email the address above. It will be removed within 30 days.

Children's data

Children cannot sign in to Sauer Planner, and no information about children is ever collected through Google sign-in or Google Calendar.
